Frequently asked questions
Is public transport really included?
Yes — the Prague Visitor Pass is the only Prague Card that acts as a full DPP transit ticket for the whole 48/72/120 h validity. Metro, day + night trams, day + night buses, trolleybuses, the Petřín funicular, ferries P1–P6, and the Airport Express bus to Václav Havel Airport are all included.
When does the clock start?
You choose. The Prague Card is valid for 1 year from purchase before activation. The physical card is activated by staff at any point-of-sale with your preferred start time; the e-Pass is activated inside the free Prague Visitor Pass app. Once active, the clock runs continuously and cannot be paused.
Can I skip the queue at attractions?
Usually not — you queue at the venue's ticket desk to have the Prague Card scanned for entry. A few venues (like the Old Town Hall) have a shorter "pre-booked / pass" lane. The Clementinum requires an advance online reservation.
Is the Prague National Museum included?
No. The Neo-Renaissance National Museum on Wenceslas Square is NOT part of the Prague Visitor Pass. Several National Gallery venues (Trade Fair Palace, Convent of St. Agnes, Schwarzenberg and Sternberg Palaces) ARE included.
What is the refund policy?
Booking via Tiqets: free cancellation until 24 hours before your visit for a full refund; you can also reschedule until 24 h before. Once the Prague Card is activated, cancellation is no longer possible.
Does the Prague Card make sense for kids under 6?
No — kids under 6 already enter free at nearly all Prague Card venues AND ride Prague public transport free. Skip the child pass for under-6s.
